Social Media Management & Marketing Campaigns
My interest in social media management began when I was a graduate student at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Back then, many news leaders were suspicious of the whole online craze and also weren’t fans of social. But I wondered about its potential to reach news readers, so I conducted an ambitious master’s research project: I interviewed leaders from over 3-dozen newsrooms across the country, and learned important lessons I use in social media management today.
Over ten years, I launched and managed social accounts, trained staff and launched paid ad promotions on social media.
My experience includes:
- B2B: Creating thought leadership content for the company and sales teams; managing targeted paid campaigns for white papers and new products
- B2C: Creating especially engaging content for potential and current customers, including organic (such as contests) and paid
- Nonprofit: Providing daily content for professional and educational nonprofits (including a Big 10 university)
